Oil Marketing Business Division, Taichung Marketing Office | Palm vein terminal replacement and headquarters attendance integration

• Replacement of existing palm vein attendance terminals across the Taichung office's sites with GV3000-P36 units supporting both palm vein recognition and existing attendance cards; recognition in under 2 seconds with Chinese name display.
• Each unit stores 5,000+ palm templates and 50,000+ attendance records, keeps data locally during network outages and re-uploads automatically.
• GF2000 transfer software collects records from all sites and uploads them in real time to the headquarters attendance system (EMPC) via its web service, with safeguards against missed and duplicate uploads and date-range re-upload.
• NTP time synchronization, account and permission management and vulnerability remediation in line with the information security responsibility level requirements.
• Gauss attendance devices are already integrated with EMPC at CPC oil marketing offices in Taipei, Hsinchu-Miaoli, Taichung, Chiayi, Tainan and Penghu (about 40 units including palm vein, fingerprint and card readers), so this project reused the existing integration for a short deployment cycle.

Background

CPC Corporation, Taiwan has used Gauss fingerprint attendance systems since 2000-2001, with both distributed and centralized deployments and several hundred fingerprint and palm vein terminals installed across refining, oil marketing, natural gas, exploration, LPG and lubricant divisions.
